Baking Bits

Magic Cookie Bars

These bar cookies are so yummy and easy to make! I used to make them back in my bakery days. There was this one bakery I worked at, I made a full sheet worth a day (about 60 pieces). They are just popular with kids and adults alike.

You are able to change it up and make them as festive as you would like. Use holiday m and m’s, chocolate chips and sprinkles to fit any holiday or theme. You can even make them gluten free. You can buy GF graham cracker crumbs in most health food stores.

Go make some Magic cookie bars and watch them disappear. Fast!

Recipe:

1 ½ cups graham cracker Crumbs

1/3 cup butter, melted

1, 14 oz can condensed milk

1 ½ cups flake coconut

1 cup chopped nuts (if desired)

1 ½ cups chocolate chips, m and m’s, toffee bits, peanut butter chips. Mix and match to your liking

  1. Preheat oven 350 and grease and line a 13×9 pan
  2. Combine crumbs and melted butter, press into pan. Press until it looks tight with no loose crumbs
  3. Spread milk evenly over crumbs
  4. Sprinkle toppings
  5. Bake 25 minutes, cool for at least 1 hour before cutting. I chill for one hour, so it’s not as messy before I cut them
  6. ENJOY !!IMG_4762
