Spring is my favorite season, there are so many things I love about it. It screams new life and all things new all around us. I love the blossoms on the trees, tulips popping up and showing themselves and hearing the sweet chirping of birds and their new babies. It inspires me to go outside and start planting flowers and clean up the dead looking landscape. I always seem to get inspired this time of year to do other things to like deep cleaning my home and cooking and baking with a different flair.
So, yes of course I get inspired in the baking area. I saw these ADORABLE egg cartons at Hobby Lobby a few weeks back. I had seen them somewhere on Pinterest at one time and I knew I had to come up with something to do with them. I love a new presentation of gift giving a baked item. There are always teachers, birthdays and “Just Because,” sweet gifts you can bake for and this is a perfect spring idea! Mini cupcakes presented in the cartons. There is no trick, just bake your favorite cake in mini cupcake pans and decorate with little chocolate eggs or pipe a blue bird out of buttercream and some toasted coconut.
