I love being with people and I love getting to know others.   I enjoy being part of a group that seeks to serve its community and always finding ways to be a blessing.

I’m apart of a church that inspires me to serve others all around me and I also have the pleasure of hosting a Bible study group where ladies come together and we encourage each other in our faith and to serve our community together. There is something about serving with others that motivates you to do more!

I want to inspire you now and in the future to look at the world around you. The world that is close and near and look for opportunities to bless and serve. There are always people around us that are hurting and have needs much greater than our own. I believe serving others keeps me grateful of what God has given me and my family and always to give THANKS!

This past month my group got together and we went to a nonprofit called Second Harvest. This place is amazing, it was so much to take in. They collect perishable and nonperishable food, hygiene items, and so much more. If you want to learn more go to: http://www.secondharvestmetrolina.org . We worked the “Walmart” isle. Walmart donates, pallets of items that they can’t use and we went through boxes after boxes and organized all the items into “Hygiene and Cosmetic categories.

These boxes will be given out to organizations all over Charlotte to help needy and homeless people. I was so grateful to be a part of this massive operation and cannot wait to go back with these ladies. I think I speak for all of us that it energizes us to continue to giving back.
